BANGALORE: Two persons were murdered in separate incidents reported from Bangalore Rural district since Thursday evening. The police said Venkataramana Shetty (36) was bludgeoned to death at Gonal village in Kanakapura Rural police station limits. The police said Shetty eked out a living by loading sand into lorries at the quarries. A financial dispute between him and a fellow labourer, Naga, resulted in the murder. Naga and another person had smashed Shetty's head with a boulder, the police said. The Kanakapura Rural police have registered a case. In the other incident reported from Magadi police station limits on Friday, Lakshmana (46) was hacked to death at an agricultural field at Mattha village on Ramanagara-Magadi Road. The assailants had hit him on the neck and hands with a chopper. Lakshmana was into piggery, the police said. The Magadi police, who have registered a case, said they are yet to ascertain the motive behind the killing.
