Five killed in bus-train collision

JAIPUR: Five persons were killed and 15 others injured when a bus collided with a train at an unmanned railway crossing at Narodra village near Laxmangarh in Sikar district of Rajasthan on Saturday. A woman died on the spot, while four others succumbed to injuries in the hospital. The tragedy occurred when the rural private bus full of passengers got stuck at the metre gauge railway track and a local train coming from Sadulpur to Sikar rammed into its front portion causing extensive damage. Those killed were sitting on the front seats of the bus. The wounded were rushed to the Kalayn Government Hospital at Sikar where two of them succumbed to injuries.
