GAME FOR IT?: A scene from the film, Game.
Game (Telugu) Cast: Mohanbabu, Vishnu, Sobhana, Parvati Melton, Direction: G.Ramprasad Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures, which had produced several blockbusters, had failed to come up with a hit film in the recent past. Moreover, Manchu Vishnuvardhan Babu, who has proved to be an artiste of good calibre, right with his first film, failed to get a good commercial break so far. His father Mohanbabu had produced a couple of films to help him but they too failed at the box office. The latest film from the banner `Game' in which both the father and son duo have acted together also fails to click. Pandit Raghava (Mohanbabu) changes at least 28 jobs in 14 years, as he fails to cope with present-day society. Finally, he settles down in life as a taxi driver, but tells his wife Janaki (Sobhana) that he is working as an LIC agent. He believes that the entire society is rotten. Vijayaraj (Vishnu) is the son of a multi-millionaire and spends money on liquor and girls lavishly. Hence his father writes his will in favour of one Sriramachandra Murthy (Giribabu). Vijayaraj now wants to settle scores in a legal battle. He comes to know that the original will written by his father is in a bank locker and wants to produce it in court and regain his property. One day he hires a taxi run by Raghava and being in a hurry wants him to drive the car fast. The taxi meets with an accident and Vijayraj loses his locker key in the car. While searching for Raghava, who is taken to the police station, Vijayaraj reaches Raghava's home and reveals that Raghava is a taxi driver. Now Raghava's family falls into trouble and Raghava decides to take revenge against Vijayaraj. Like this the game starts... The answers to all these questions form part of the climax. Mohanbabu and Vishnu perfectly fit their roles. However, poor narration and improper screenplay mars the tempo of the film. Moreover, the film has no story or message to convey to people. Music by Joshua Sridhar is novel in some songs, but the background music is hardly appealing. Sobhana appears on the screen after a long time and does well.
