KOLLAM: Indian Army's Deputy Director-General of Recruiting (Kerala, Karnataka, Mahe and Lakshadweep) Brigadier J.M. Devadoss has said that there is no scope for corruption in any of the Army Open Recruitment Rally. At a press conference here on Saturday, he said that such rallies were being conducted in a foolproof manner. Brig. Devadoss was here in connection with the four-day recruitment rally that began here on Friday at the Lal Bahadur Stadium. He said that the tests were being done by an independent body of officers not at all connected with the Branch Recruiting Office in Thiruvananthapuram. With regard to allegations that touts were approaching candidates with offers of getting them through on payment of bribes, Brig. Devadoss said that candidates should not fall prey to such tricks.
`Open system'
"The recruitment is an open rally system which is subject to inspection by the candidates themselves, their parents and even the media," he said. Mr. Devadoss who was provided with some proof on the operation of touts at the recruitment rally said that he would be handing over all those proof to the Intelligence Bureau with a formal request for an inquiry.
