Release arrested women: federation

NEW DELHI: The National Federation of Indian Women has condemned the Railway authorities for arresting women coming to Delhi from different parts of Chhattisgarh to participate in a dharna demanding immediate introduction of the Bill on 33 per cent reservation for women in Parliament and Assemblies.

In a press release, Federation General Secretary, Annie Raja, alleged that 109 activists of the Federation, from rural corners of Chhattisgarh, were detained at Agra and were made to pay a fine of Rs. 976 each or face 14 days of detention.
