Report deliberately leaked, says Swamy

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy has said the former External Affairs Minister, K. Natwar Singh, must "put the blame where it justifiably rests," in the oil-for-food scam issue.

In a statement here on Saturday, Mr. Swamy alleged that the Justice Pathak report, which exonerated the Congress while indicting Mr. Singh, had been deliberately leaked.

"A drama"

Dr. Swamy said: "India has seen such staged dramas of whitewashing and finding scapegoats many times before."

He urged Mr. Singh to make a clean breast of it.
