THRISSUR: Education Minister M. A. Baby has categorically stated that the Government will implement the Kerala professional colleges Act, 2006 in one form or the other whatever the legal hurdles be. Addressing a seminar on `Kerala Professional Colleges (Prohibition of Capitation Free, Regulation of Admission, Fixation of Non-Exploitative Fee and Other Measures to Ensure Quality and Excellence in Professional Education) Act, 2006,' organised by the Democratic Youth Federation of India here on Saturday, Mr. Baby condemned the recent attacks on self-financing colleges run by minority communities. "Destruction of public property is improper and cannot be justified. "Yet, the agitation launched by students draws public support,'' Mr. Baby said. The Minister said the Government was ready to change certain provisions of the Act if the minority status would not be misused by managements.
