Government notifies two Acts
The Cooperative Societies Act extends the term of special officers of various cooperative societies by six more months. Anbumani calls on Karunanidhi
According to a release from Dr. Anbumani's office, he showed Mr. Karunanidhi the Luter Terry Award he had received in Washington DC in July on behalf of his Ministry. Advocates to boycott court on August 8
A decision to this effect was taken by all advocates associations, which met here under the aegis of the BCT to discuss the impact of the amendments. According to Bar Council sources, a delegation of advocates would meet Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi on Wednesday and urge him not to give effect to the amendments in the State.
