India in final

Chennai: Guruvinder Singh (14th minute), Vikramjit Singh (52nd), Guruvinder Singh Chandi (55th), and Harjit Singh (58th) scored for India in its 4-3 victory over Malaysia on Saturday at the four-nation hockey tournament in Singapore.

The goals from Guruvinder Singh and Harjit were through penalty corners. The teams were locked 1-1 at half-time.

Meanwhile on Friday, Indian forwards squandered several chances and played out a 1-1 draw with Malaysia in the women's tournament. — Agencies
