NEW DELHI: Yet another day of draws protected P. Hari Krishna's slender half-point lead after seven rounds of the Marx Gyorgy memorial chess tournament in Paks, Hungary, on Friday. Playing white, Hari (4.5 points) drew with Ukraine's Zahar Efimenko (4) in 49 moves of Queen's Indian Defence. Hungary's Zoltan Almasi kept Efimenko's company in the second spot after a 42-move encounter in King's Indian with countryman Peter Acs (2). Grandmaster R.B. Ramesh and seasoned International Master S. Kidambi maintained their winning run and shared the lead with six others at three points after the third round of the Badalona International Open tournament in Badalona, Spain, on Friday. The Indian trio of Tania Sachdev, S.P. Sethuraman and Kruttika Nadig finished with an identical tally of 5.5 from 11 rounds of the Biel Masters chess tournament in Biel on Friday. Tania and Kruttika drew their final round face-off while Sethuraman defeated Swiss rival Abdelaziz Hendri. Sethuraman (56th), Tania (57th) and Kruttika (65th) fell short of their bid to gain a norm from the premier event. Poland's Bartosz (eight points) won due to superior tie-break score following a four-way tie with Germany's Leonid Kritz, France's Laurent Fressinet and Israel's Boris Avrukh. The results: At Badalona (results involving Indians): Third round: P. Konguvel (2.5) drew with Fabio Bellini (Ita, 2.5); Neelotpal Das (2.5) drew with Hipolit Asis Gargatagli (Esp, 2.5); Juan Pomes Marcet (Esp, 2) lost to R.B. Ramesh (3); S.
