Free gastro-intestinal endoscopy procedures performed

CHENNAI: Gastro-intestinal endoscopy procedures were performed free of cost for 15 patients at MedIndia Hospitals here. This was in connection with the recent launch of a round-the-clock emergency gastrointestinal bleed treatment unit at the hospital.

The surgeries were put up on a telemedicine network reaching over 300 doctors in Tamil Nadu and other States.

The procedures were led by T. S. Chandrasekar, who heads MedIndia.
