Dhanushkodi Adithan's wife killed in accident

TIRUNELVELI:
The Tirunelveli MP, R. Dhanushkodi Adithan, was seriously injured and his wife, Indra Devi Adithan (48) killed in a road accident near Vaagaikulam on the Tirunelveli - Tuticorin National Highway on Saturday evening. Police said Mr. Adithan, his family members and friends were on their way to Tuticorin from Tirunelveli in a car, which suddenly overturned near Vaagaikulam shortly before 4 p.m.
As Mr. Adithan, Ms. Indra Devi Adithan, his daughter, D. Cynthia, his friends, Venkatesh (32) and driver Ahilan (30) were injured in the accident, they were taken to two private hospitals at Tuticorin. However, Indra Adithan died in the hospital. Mr. Adithan has been admitted to the hospital with fractures in both legs and left hand. His condition is said to be stable. His daughter and the driver have suffered head injuries.
The Tuticorin Collector, R. Palaniyandi, and the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, K.C. Mahali, visited the MP.
