Ready for a great show

Special Correspondent

BANGALORE: These visually impaired but determined group of people are out to create history on Sunday. The IDL Foundation's band, ``Ability in Disability'' will be performing at Hotel Grand Ashok , displaying their wide repertoire of songs in different languages. One song will be specially dedicated to the victims of natural calamities such as the tsunami and those who died in the bomb blasts in Mumbai.

The band has musicians on the key board, guitars, flute and congos besides six vocalists. They have been training for six months for this show. ``The process of seeing these musicians rehearsing and bringing out feeling of joy and brotherhood through music has been humbling'' says P.K.Paul, executive trustee of the foundation.

The band has on earlier occasions played for the Governor of Karnataka, the Mayor of Bangalore and Infosys founder N.R.Narayana Murthy.

The invited audience on Sunday is expected to include the Indian cricket team. One song is dedicated to the team.
