HYDERABAD:
The Government recently punished former Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes K. Nageswara Rao by withholding his pension and gratuity benefits as the Tribunal found him guilty in a corruption case.
Corruption case
A Special Court recently sentenced two medical and health department officials to undergo one-year rigorous imprisonment following their conviction in a corruption case. The convicts - G. Govinda Rao, junior assistant, and V. Sekhar Reddy, senior assistant - were arrested by the ACB officials eight years ago on charge of receiving a bribe of Rs. 2,000 from a complainant, a press release said.
