NEDUMBASSERY: A six-member Parliamentary delegation from South Africa will be on a six-day visit to Kerala to study about the Panchayati Raj system in the State, Marina Louise Minnie, the Acting South African High Commissioner in India, has said. The team will be in Kerala from August 7 to 12, during which the delegates will visit two grama panachayats, a block panchayat, besides visiting the Ernakulam district panchayat and Kochi Corporation. A class will be held on Tuesday at the Kerala Institute of Local Administration (KILA), she said. Ms. Minnie arrived before the delegation to do the groundwork for the proposed visit.
