Bangalore: Which is the latest technology that is going to replace the ring tones? What is armpit technology? These questions seem rather odd but this is the pace at which the technology is changing trends. Information technology is the most popular domain many youngsters aspire to be in and the largest interschool IT quiz conducted by the Tata Consultancy Services became the forum for the youth to enhance their IT awareness. The auditorium was packed with supercharged students who were cheering for their respective schools. The competition was open to all students from Class VIII to Class XII. There were six teams that competed in the finals. The quiz had many rounds; "Beyond The Obvious" and "Instant Processing" being a favourite among the students. After many rounds of intense quizzing, Anil Kumar and Srikanth V. Goutham of MES Kishore Kendra emerged winners. The National Public School was the runners-up. Quizmaster Giri "Pickbrain" Balasubramanium said, "quizzing involves application of mind and thereby becomes interesting and it is a pleasure to see the students crack the questions that I would not have expected them to." The TCS school quiz has been extended to more cities this year. The regional winners from each city will go to the national finals to be held in Mumbai.
