Bidar: AHINDA leaders in Bidar have denied allegations that former Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and former ministers H. Vishwanath and H.M. Revanna had discriminated against members of the Kuruba community in north Karnataka.
Selection of seer
Mansoor Math seer Basavaraj Devaru Swamiji, Ravi Dandin and Arvind Dalwai had said that Kuruba community members in north Karnataka were not taken into confidence in the selection of the next seer of Kaginele Guru Peetha. "These are false and baseless allegations. The three senior leaders and others have consulted community leaders in all the districts," AHINDA district president and Kuruba community leader Amrit Chimkod told presspersons in Bidar on Sunday. Mr. Chimkod also denied allegations that Mr. Siddaramaiah had consulted party workers only in Mysore and neglected those from other districts. Mr. Chimkod, who is also the AIPJD district president and Bidar Zilla Panchayat member, said the merger of his party with the Congress would happen any day. "All preparations have been made already. We are organising a Statewide rally and join the Congress en masse," Mr. Chimkod said. AHINDA vice-president and Karnataka Kurubara Sangha secretary Pandit Chidri was present.
