PALAKKAD: The Plachimda Solidarity Committee, which is agitating for the closure of Coca Cola bottling unit at Plachimada for the last three years, and the Anti-Pepsi Cola Agitation Committee at Kanjikode have welcomed the decision of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) Coordination Committee recommendation to the State Government to ban the sale of Coca Cola and Pepsi in the State in the wake of reports about pesticide contents found in them. In a statement here on Sunday Plachimda Solidarity Committee Convenor Ajayan and Patron Vilayodi Venugopal said that the Government should implement the LDF recommendation and pay compensation to the affected people, especially at Plachimada.
