CEC offers prayers at Tirumala

TIRUMALA : Chief Election Commissioner Gopalaswamy on Sunday offered prayers at the temple of Lord Venkateswara here. Earlier on his arrival, he was accorded a warm reception by the TTD Executive Officer A.P.V. Narayana Sarma, Joint Executive Officer Balaramaiah and other officials. Chief Vigilance Commissioner N. Delhi Sankaran also offered prayers at the hill temple along with Mr. Gopalaswamy.

Later the duo also participated in the evening procession of the Lord around the mada streets encircling the holy shrine, organised in connection with the ongoing three-day annual Pavithrotsavams of the Lord. Mr. Gopalaswamy also paid a visit to the recently set up S.V. Vedic University at Dharmagiri about 3 km from here. .
