HASSAN: Endorsing the reported statement of Union Minister for Steel, Ramvilas Paswan to ban export of iron ore to put an end to illegal mining, Minister for Primary and Secondary Education, Basavaraj Horatti, here on Saturday said such a ban would help in protecting country's natural resources. "China, which imports the highest quantity of iron ore from our country, has not touched its resources to preserve that for posterity," he said. Addressing presspersons, he said permission should be granted to mine ore only to the extent of meeting country's needs, he noted. Reacting to the recent allegations against the Government, he said it had strengthened the bond between the coalition partners. The controversy helped in clarify various things and there was no difference between them, he said.
