NEW DELHI: It is a rare experience for Vivek Shokeen to be seeded No.1 in a Satellite circuit. The strapping 19-year-old Delhi lad had made back-to-back semifinals of the ITF Futures tournaments a few weeks back, and will be keen to justify his status in the four-week circuit that begins at the DLTA Complex here on Monday. Vivek starts against a qualifier and would need to be quite sharp not just in his first round but also against a clutch of talented and hungry youngsters whom he would face at every step in a fairly competitive field. Pathanjali Ravishankar, Navdeep Singh, Divij Sharan, Ashutosh Singh and Vishnu Vardhan of Hyderabad, would all be keen to make the next level. The seedings: 1. Vivek Shokeen, 2. Pathanjali Ravishankar, 3. Navdeep Singh, 4. Yuri Bezeruk (Aus), 5. Divij Sharan, 6. Ashutosh Singh, 7. Vishnu Vardhan and 8. Peter Shults (US). Wild cards: Stephen Amritraj (US), Jalil Khan (Pak), Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Sriram Balaji. The results: Third and final qualifying round: Punna Vishal bt Siddharth Gulati 6-0, 6-4; Yannick Nelord bt Karunuday Singh 6-3, 6-2; Kamala Kannan bt Rohan Gide 3-6, 6-1, 6-2; Kiran Nandakumar bt Nimrod Pererl (Isr) 7-5, 6-3; Nima Roshan (US) bt Tzu-Yang Lin (Tpe) 6-2, 6-4; Nitin Kirtane bt Sandeep Choudhary 6-2, 6-2; Chin-Yu Huang (Tpe) bt Yu-Da Shieh (Tpe) 6-4, 6-2.
