MYSORE: The founder of Odanadi, a voluntary organisation engaged in the rehabilitation of destitute women and children, was arrested by the police for allegedly assaulting a minor girl, who was trying to run away from the home, at Hootagalli on the outskirts of the city. The city Police arrested Parashuram, one of the founders of the organisation, after he reportedly assaulted a 16-year-old inmate of Odanadi, who was reportedly trying to escape from the centre on Friday. A group of on-lookers intervened while the girl was being dragged towards a vehicle by Parashuram and two women from Odanadi. They alerted the police. The police sent the girl to the State Home for Women on Rehabilitation while Parashuram was arrested for beating a girl in public and was produced before the court on Saturday.
