KOZHIKODE: Free rations will be provided to fish workers up to August 15, in view of the extension of the trawling ban, District Collector A. Jayatilak has said. The free rations, comprising rice and wheat, will be provided to workers of boats fitted with motors with capacities above 10 HP, associated workers who have registered themselves, those employed in fish landing centres and peeling centres, among others. Applications for getting free rations, in the requisite forms, must be submitted to the Fisheries Deputy Director, or the official concerned, a release says.
