Advice for law students

Kakinada : Noted advocate P.S.R.K. Thimmajirao Rao advised law students not to encourage litigation on unnecessary controversies but keep in mind social needs in taking up cases. Inaugurating a training programme to students of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Law on Sunday he stressed on hard work. 180 screened at

eye camp

Kakinada : A total of 180 patients suffering from eye ailments were screened at the free eye camp organised by the Sri Kiran institute of ophthalmology at Jagannaickpur on Sunday. Dr. Chandrasekhar chief of the hospital said 47 patients were requiring surgery and moved to their hospital at ADB Road junction. — Correspondent

Farmer beaten to death

Kakinada : In what is stated to be culmination of an old rivalry, Kalla Apparao (34) a farmer of Kothur village was attacked by three members of the rival group on Sunday and was grievously beaten. He was rushed in a critical condition to the Government general hospital here where he succumbed to injuries. — Correspondent

Book released

TENALI: At a function organised by Sarada Sahiti Samskruta Seva Samithi here on Sunday, the book `Srikakula vaibhavam' was released. The book was on the history of Srikakulam village of Ghantasala mandal in Krishna district. Cardiologist P. Dakshina Murthy said the author Ponukumati Venkatasubbaiah had taken great pains to compile the history of the village
