Chief Minister inept in controlling law and order, says Union Minister

  • Union Minister Kanti Singh was insulted at the behest of Nitish: Raghuvansh
  • State Government withdrew its share of old age pension, he says

PATNA: Union Rural Development Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh on Sunday criticised Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and said he should either be dignified in his conduct or quit the office. Talking to reporters here, Mr. Singh alleged that Union Minister of State for Industries Kanti Singh was insulted by the Bhojpur district administration at the behest of the Chief Minister. She was prevented from launching schemes in her constituencies, he alleged.

Mr. Singh said the schemes Mrs. Singh intended to launch were totally financed by the Centre and her complaints to Mr. Kumar had not evoked any response. He pointed out that Mr. Kumar inaugurated the same schemes on Sunday.

Responding to a question, he ruled out the possibility of the Centre also stooping down and question the conduct of the Chief Minister.
