KARIMNAGAR: Collector M.V. Satyanarayana on Sunday inspected the Rayapatnam bridge on the Godavari, which connects Karimnagar and Adilabad districts, which is overflowing due to the release of floodwaters from the SRSP and the Kadem projects in the upstream of the river. Floodwaters are flowing above 8-feet on Rayapatnam bridge, affecting vehicular movement. Since Saturday night, 3 lakh cusecs was released from the SRSP. Several visitors from Karimnagar other places were seen visiting the Rayapatnam bridge to see the picturesque view of flood waters flowing over the bridge. Mr. Satyanarayana discussed with the revenue authorities the proposal to construct a new bridge across the river.
