Speeding bus kills Plus Two student

CHENNAI : A speeding Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) bus killed a plus two student Nanesh, studying in a private school in Mogappair, on Sunday.

According to police, four students -- two boys and two girls -- were travelling on two different bikes to attend tuition in K. K. Nagar.

As they were about to cross the road at the Alagirisamy Salai-Ramasamy Road junction, a speeding bus coming on the Ramasamy Road rammed into Nanesh's bike. Nanesh was trapped beneath the bus along with his vehicle, while Manoj was thrown off. Gayathri and Sudha, who were also crossing the road on the other vehicle, were hit by the speeding bus. They suffered injuries.
