Power shutdown

The following areas will not have power supply from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on August 9, owing to a shutdown at the Mettupalayam sub-station:

Annur, Kuppepalayam, Odderpalayam, Kembanaickenpalayam, Kariyampalayam, Paduvampalli, Pogalur, Ganesapuram, Pasur, Chokkampalayam and Kumarapalayam.

TNEB bill

The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has said that assessment of consumption charges could be done in Auto Nagar for July owing to administrative reasons. The consumers should pay the previous consumption charges (assessed in May) by August 17 to avoid disconnection, a release from the TNEB has said.

Aadi Friday

The annual Aadi Friday Mahotsavam of Sadhguru Sri Thiyagaraja Gana Nilayam would be held from August 11 to 13. This is the 59th year of the celebrations that have been held since 1947, a press release from the organisation has said.
