BANGALORE: A construction worker died on the spot and two were injured when a heavy steel rod fell on them in MICO Layout Police Station limits on Saturday. The police said the incident occurred at a construction site of a hotel building on Bannerghatta Road at midnight. The dead has been identified as Uttam Nag (23) from West Bengal. MICO Layout Police have registered a case. Investigation is on.
Injured
A man who allegedly tried to rob a house was seriously injured after he fell from the building in Basaveshwaranagar Police Station limits on Saturday. The police said he fell while trying to flee from the place. The incident occurred at the house of Jayaram, a software engineer, at Vyalikaval Housing Society Layout. The police said Jayaram woke up around 1 a.m. after hearing some noise on the terrace and informed them. When policemen arrived there, the man tried to flee and fell from the terrace. The police shifted the man to NIMHANS. He is yet to be identified.
Dies in accident
A pedestrian died on the spot when a lorry hit him in Madiwala Police Station limits on Saturday. The police have identified the dead as Dandapani, resident of Madiwala.
