Seaways acquires second container vessel

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad-based Seaways Group has acquired a second container vessel of 365 TEUs capacity to add to its existing CEX service to join by the third week of this month. The acquisition will enhance the tonnage deployed in the North Bay of Bengal region. Capt. K. Vijay Gopal, CEO, said in a release on Monday that the introduction of the second vessel on the east coast would benefit the Indo-Bangla trade and export of cotton yarn, machinery, polymer, aluminium, automobile, consumer products and project cargoes, taking advantage of the sea route.
