NEW DELHI: The owner of a bus, its driver and conductor have been arrested by the Vasant Kunj police on charges of beating up the driver of another bus following a dispute over timings. Around 1-15 a.m. on Saturday, the police received information that an injured person had been thrown out of a moving car near Radisson Hotel. The injured, later identified as Naveen, was taken to Safdarjung Hospital. In a statement to the police, Naveen said he worked as driver of a bus plying on route No. 729 from Kapashera to Mori Gate Terminal. Davender Singh, owner of another bus plying on the same route, its driver Om Prakash and conductor Satyavrat, used to have frequent altercations with him over bus timings. A few days ago, they threatened him again. On August 4 night when Naveen was returning from his sister's house, Davender Singh, his brother Sanjay, Dinesh and Satyavrat allegedly intercepted him, forced him into their vehicle and beat him up. They then allegedly took him near Davender's office at Mahipalpur Pahari and beat him with hockey sticks. When he fell unconscious, they dumped him near Radisson Hotel.
