Fellowship for ONGC director

NEW DELHI: Director (Human Resource) of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC) Ashok Kumar Balyan was conferred Fellowship by the All India Management Association (AIMA) at its 11th Convocation here on Saturday.

He was presented the certificate by president of AIMA Sudhir Jalan for significant contribution to management in the oil and gas sector.

An M-Tech from IIT and Ph.D from Germany, Dr. Balyan's career in ONGC spans over three decades. Before becoming Director (HR) in 2003, he spearheaded the company's ventures in Coal Bed Methane (CBM) in eastern India.

Delivering the convocation address, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, Priyaranjan Dasmunshi, commended the human resource initiatives of Oil and Natural Gas Commission for their all-out efforts to prepare human capital to manage the oil and gas needs of the country.
