NJPC secures ISO 14001:2004 certification

SHIMLA: The 1,500 MW Nathpa-Jhakri hydro power project in Himachal Pradesh has been granted ISO 14001:2004 certification in recognition of its environmental management practices. The certification by the Bureau of Indian Standards would be valid for three years from July 28. The environmental management systems certification took into account initiatives such as setting up of hospitals and dispensaries by the company, an official release here said.
