Carrom tournament
As part of LIC's golden jubilee celebrations, the LIC Sports and Recreation Club is conducting an inter-institution carrom tournament for men and women teams from August 12 to 15. Each team must have four players (two for singles and one pair for doubles to play the matches simultaneously). Entries have to be sent through the institution, on or before August 11, to G. ACT's gesture
Associated Charitable Trust presented a cash incentive of Rs. 20,000 to powerlifter B. Tejaswini Naidu. Hyderabad District Collector R.V. Chandravadan handed over the cheque on Tuesday. Ram Kumar Goyal, chairman of the Trust, said since the powerlifter could manage only Rs. 20,000 of the Rs. 40,000, the Trust had come forward to help the needy sportsperson.
