HYDERABAD: United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi is arriving in Vijayawada on Wednesday morning on a seven-hour visit to the flood-affected areas. She will be accompanied by Union Home Minister Shivaj Patil. Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy said she would land at Gannavaram airport at 10.20 a.m. by a chartered flight from Delhi. She will later undertake an aerial survey of the affected areas in East Godavari district, leaving Vijayawada at 10.45 a.m. She will get down at Amalapuram to visit some affected areas and interact with the flood victims. She will leave at 2.30 p.m. for the State capital. At the airport, the UPA chairperson will go round a photo-exhibition on the flood damage.
