Court upholds externment order

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: An alleged anti-social element on Monday moved the Karnataka High Court against an externment order on the ground that he needed to attend the parent-teachers' meeting of the school in which his child was studying.

Justice K. Ramanna refused to stay the order of externment. Javed Aga, who was an accused in the murder of anti-social element Koli Fayaz, sought a stay on the externment order against him on the recommendation of the Commercial Street police. Public Prosecutor Dore Raju opposed Aga's plea saying that Aga was a habitual offender involved in several cases and hence the order of externment was justified.
