Walkout over leak of Pathak report
Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI
: Samajwadi Party members staged a walkout in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday in protest against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's failure to come to the House and express regret for the "leak" of the Pathak Inquiry Authority report on the U.N. oil-for-food scam for Iraq.
The matter was raised after question hour by Mohan Singh who said the Parliamentary Affairs Minister had told the House on Friday that the "leak" would be looked into.
Stating that there was also speculation of the "leak" being from the Prime Minister's Office, he said Dr. Singh himself should clear the air on the matter.
Accusing the Government of neglecting the House, SP's Parliamentary party leader Ram Gopal Yadav led his colleagues out.
