Thiruvananthapuram: A 35-year-old man, Verghese, of Mission colony, Alamcode, was admitted to Medical College Hospital on Tuesday night with injuries after he was hacked at by some neighbours over a dispute.

Case registered

Thiruvananthapuram: The Poojappura police have registered a case in connection with the death of Assistant Jailor of Central Jail, Poojappura, P.V. Jacob on Monday. Jacob, 54, a resident of Muvattupuzha in Ernakulam district, fell unconscious on Monday morning while on duty. He died around 8 p.m., while undergoing treatment at Medical College Hospital. The body was handed over to the relatives after a post-mortem examination at the hospital on Tuesday. —
