THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Students who want to take up the open schooling system can now seek admission to secondary and senior secondary courses conducted by recognised study centres of the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).

The last date for purchase of prospectus and admission forms with late fee of Rs.50 is August 16, and with late fee of Rs.100 is August 31. The Regional Centre, Mamangalam, Kochi, may be contacted for more information and purchase of prospectus (Ph: 2335533 and 2335714). Forms can also be downloaded from the NIOS website www.nos.org/www.nios.ac.in.

The secondary and senior secondary courses of the NIOS are equivalent to Class X and Class XII.
