Bangalore Gayana Samaja to organise music festival

Karnataka Vaggeya Vaibhava will be held from August 13 to 20

Bangalore: The Bangalore Gayana Samaja, now in its 101st year of service to fine arts, is organising the 38th music conference from August 13 to 20, its president H. Kamalnath told presspersons here on Wednesday

The conference will be called "Karnataka Vaggeya Vaibhava," which is meant to highlight Karnataka's contribution to Carnatic music, as the State is celebrating "Suvarna Karnataka" year, he said.

The region had produced several renowned musicians and composers. Mysore V. Subramanya has been named president of the conference.
