NEW DELHI: Urging the United Progressive Alliance Government to take an early decision on the creation of separate Telangana, former Prime Minister V.P. Singh has said that any delay in clinching the issue will not only cause `erosion of credibility' of the UPA but also force the people of the region to go back on an agitation mode. "I, therefore, earnestly feel that steps should be taken to form the state of Telangana without any further loss of time. I am confident you will do the needful," Mr. Singh wrote letters to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi. With the BJP too coming in its favour the proposal for the formation of Telangana State was sure to get support in the Lok Sabha.
