Meet on risk management

CHENNAI: Shifting the focus from disaster management to preventative risk management was the theme of a workshop held on Wednesday to discuss disaster accounting and recovery.

Minister for Revenue and Law I. Periasamy delivered the inaugural address at the three-day workshop, in which disaster relief officials from Tamil Nadu and South and Southeast Asia took part.

Tamil Nadu Relief Commissioner R. Santhanam identified two prime concerns local to the State: identifying "affected persons and families.
