CHENNAI: The lives of great leaders contain messages for the community and convey strong messages of hope, speakers said at a function organised on Wednesday to release the Tamil translation of Russi M Lala's book, `A touch of greatness encounters with the eminent.' The function was organised by Pathway, an NGO dedicated to the rehabilitation of special children. The translated version is authored by Rani Maindhan. It offered glimpses of greatness and contained remarkable insights into the lives of great men and women, N. Ram, Editor-in-Chief, The Hindu , said. Commending the fine prose and economy of expression, he said the book took the reader into the heart of the person whose greatness it described. The book contained a wealth of wisdom and represented the lives of the best in the country, said M. S. Swaminathan, chairman, M. S. Swaminathan Research Foundation. Mr. Lala, Thiruppur Krishnan, editor, `Amudha Surabhi', and A.D.S.N. Prasad, founder-director, Pathway, participated.
