HYDERABAD: A delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan, led by its President Emomali Sharifovich Rahmonov, arrived here on Wednesday afternoon.
Mr. Rahmonov was supposed to leave on Thursday afternoon after visiting Golconda fort and Quli Qutb Shah tombs. But, he cancelled his visit to both the places due to indisposition and advanced his return journey by two hours, official sources said.
On Wednesday, the President paid a visit to the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) at Ramachandrapuram and attended a dinner hosted by Governor Rameshwar Thakur at Raj Bhavan. Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy too attended the dinner. The delegation was received at the airport by Minister in-Waiting Mohd. Ali Shabbir, Chief Secretary J. Harinarayan, Mayor T. Krishna Reddy and officials.
