Protest against university's stand

KOCHI : Noted educationist Rajan Gurukkal has said that Vice-Chancellors have no right to disrupt the academic and research activities on campuses.

Inaugurating a protest meet organised by the Committee for Human Dignity against the authorities of Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Dr. Gurukkal said the university autho rities should not try to hamper the academic freedom of stude nts and researchers. The meeting held on Tuesday was part of the ongoing protests by various organisations demanding immediate steps to renew academic activities on the campus.
