Book exhibition

The library committee of Sri G.V.G. Visalakshi College for Women, Udumalpet, will organise a book exhibition from August 15 to 19 on the college premises in association with Asian Book House, New Century Book House and CLS Book Shop. Students and public can visit the exhibition. Books on science, commerce, arts, short-stories, novels, essays, plays, biographies, autobiographies and dictionary will be on display.

Workshop

Karl Kubel Institute for Development Education will organise a two-day residential workshop on "The Science of Selling" on September 1 and 2. Regulatory orders

The City Police Commissioner, Karan Singha, has clamped regulatory orders in the city under Section 41 of the Madras City Police Act 1888 prohibiting processions, meetings and demonstrations till August 23. The order will be in force in all the 15 police station limits in the city.
