THE MATS School of Business has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the La Trobe University, Australia, which is a member of the Commonwealth Association of Universities and a registered body of the Australian Commonwealth Register of Courses for Overseas Students. Dean of MATS N.V.H. Krishnan said the course aims at providing participants with an education in the essential techniques of management. "The La Trobe University has strong ties with India, which dates back to the 1960's. Signing a memorandum with an institution such as MATS will provide a pathway for both international students into the university and a platform for future research co-operation," said Geoffrey Durden, Dean of La Trobe University. The articulation arrangement agreement programme recognises a maximum of six units advanced standing for subjects or years of approved study at MATS, with 10 remaining units of the MBA to be completed onshore at the GSM (Graduate School Of Management) in Melbourne. The MBA, which is a 16-month course, requires the student to write an All India Entrance Examination and an IELTS with a score of 6.0.
