A surprise act

At around half past nine on Thursday morning, a press photographer came to the Press Club in Kozhikode, riding a motorbike. He parked his green Bullet and climbed the stairs to reach the Press Club on the first floor.

It is of course a very familiar sight at the Press Club Building every morning — almost. Except for the fact that the photographer on the bike was Mohanlal.

Hardly anyone except the crew of `Photographer,' script writer Ranjan Pramod's directorial debut, knew that a scene was being shot. Cameraman Alagappan had been filming the actor from across the road, virtually unnoticed. Only later when the cameras came closer, as Mohanlal emerged out of the Press Club, did people realise that the photographer was actually their favourite star.
