Pune: The RWITC has confirmed a tie-up with Diageo India Private Limited for one of its biggest races, the Indian 2000 Guineas, to be run in Mumbai in December. Its leading brand Johnnie Walker will be associated with this event, which is one of the top five races in the country. Mr. Vivek Jain, Chairman, Marketing and Media Working Group, said: "We are indeed thrilled with the tie up. Diageo is not only the world's biggest liquor company with international brands of repute, but has promised to make this a stellar event of the Indian racing calendar." Mr. Asif Adil, Managing Director, Diageo India, said: "We look forward to working with the RWITC and are excited at this association." A few months ago, the RWITC had confirmed the sponsorship of the Indian 1000 Guineas by Deutsche Bank.
