Pondicherry: Volunteers of the Pondicherry unit of the All India Youth Federation staged a dharna at Saram near here on Thursday urging the Territorial Administration to ban Pepsi and Coca colas, as a study of the Centre for Science and Environment had found presence of pesticides in the soft drinks. R. Viswanathan, MLA, (CPI), the functionaries of the AIYF, K. Sekar, B. Sendhil, and block level committee members of the federation participated in it. Mr. Viwanathan poured out the soft drinks to mark the federation's strong protest against the products.
